TRAINERA SOL

In the middle of our stables shines a true jewel – Trainera Sol, the only castaña-colored mare who has taken our hearts by storm. Her noble pedigree adorns our ranks and her maternal instinct has already been proven by the birth of two enchanting foals long before her hooves touched the ground of Ravella. We look forward with eager anticipation to a future that holds many more of her offspring.

The picturesque area near Cordoba, in the hands of Carlos Montijano-Carbonell Martinez, was the home where Trainera saw the light of day, grew up and in turn gave birth to two colts.

Since the golden beginning of fall this year, this soulful mare has enriched our family and is clearly enjoying feeling Spanish soil under her hooves once again.

The photographs showing Trainera also include a portrait of her grandfather, the legendary Armas Tarugo. A stallion who mastered the art of uphill movement and passed this talent on to Trainera’s gene pool. She passes this gift on to her foals with a maternal touch. It seems as if the size of her offspring is determined by the foals’ sire, as both sons are proud and handsome specimens of their breed.

Armas Tarugo is no stranger, especially in the South American climes. His name echoes in many corners and is firmly anchored in the history books of horse breeding.

2022 Trainera gave birth to the beautiful and enchanting Distinguido dés Ravella, sired by the dressage stallion Poeta de Susaeta

2023 after the combination of Trainera and Poeta produced such a wonderful foal, we have decided to choose Poeta again as the sire of Trainera’s next foal – we are already looking forward to the offspring.
