History

Update August 2020:
Unfortunately, Divo has only been to one training show – but he was super cool and came home with a score of 68! Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus, we aren’t allowed to take all of our horses to the show.
He’s diligent and good at the outside canter and is already carrying himself quite well. All the required exercises have been consolidated. We look forward to riding him every day. He’s easy to ride cross-country with him, both alone and in a group. In addition to dressage work, he enjoys strolling through the woods.

Divo, our gentleman among our horses, has a wonderful lineage. His sire, Fer Rey, comes from the large Mallorcan stud farm Yeguada Ferrero, by the Calificado stallion Mañoso II, who in turn is by Orfebre. With a height of 1.66m at the age of 5, he has reached a nice height for a PRE.

His sire, Fer Rey, passes on to his offspring a very clear mind with quick comprehension, good gaits, willingness to work, and rideability. Divo is always very attentive, listens to his rider, and wants to do everything right. His beautiful classical gaits make him a reliable partner in the dressage arena. All of Fer Rey’s offspring are very people-oriented. Bad habits are not in their blood.

Divo’s dam, Vinatera Bat, has won multiple championships and was Vice World Champion of Spanish horses in Section 12 (the highest category for horses aged 7 and over) in 2016 and 2017. She is an exceptional beauty, and she has passed this elegance on to Divo. His friendly nature also makes him a real highlight in his handling.

Divo was gently broken in 1.5 years ago, and with a lot of patience and very slowly, we introduced him to the bridle and saddle. He is unfamiliar with draw reins, a rough hand, or handling techniques. He always cooperates and has become significantly stronger, mastering his exercises appropriately for his age. He enjoys going out into the countryside, whether in a group with other stallions or on his own.

Divo is free of piroplasmosis, has annual dental treatment, and knows his osteopath and physiotherapist. He easily gets into the trailer and, of course, is on friendly terms with the farrier.

Divo is licensed and, due to his pedigree, also makes him an interesting breeding horse. He is not particularly stallion-oriented, but he certainly appreciates the ladies.
